Real world test results demonstrate that Innospec's additives significantly reduce emissions including a decrease of up to 22% in Polyacrylic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH). This can all be achieved without sacrificing engine performance. This is great news for the environment.

60% reduction in black smoke

With Octamar™ it is not only possible to reduce emissions but also visibly decrease black smoke by up to a remarkable 60%. This creates a safer and more pleasant working environment for all on board without compromising engine performance or reliability.

100% prevention of sludge formation

By treating fuel with Octamar™ it is possible to prevent both distillate and asphaltene sludge formation in VLSFO up to 100 %, ensuring both the fuel system and engine run clean and trouble-free. Less sludge means less wasted fuel, less unplanned maintenance and defects and better
conditions for the crew.

The performance of Innospec's Octamar™ range of combustion catalysts has been recognized by the leading ship classification society ClassNK. ClassNK independently verified the performance of their Octamar™ Ultra HF, Octamar™ Complete and Octamar™ F35C for improving fuel economy and reducing emissions. Octamar™ HF-10 Plus received a ‘Statement of Fact’ verifying its performance in maintaining VLSFO stability.
